Legal implications
India is one of the few countries where commercial surrogacy has been legal since 2002. Since Surrogacy in India is at a relatively lower cost with a favourable legal environment it is advantageous for you.

Although there is no legislation governing surrogacy agreements in India, there is an upcoming Assisted Reproductive Technology Bill and a Surrogacy Bill aiming to regulate the surrogacy field.
